This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited Tornado risk. Limited hail risk...up to quarter size. Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph. Significant Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Thunderstorms are expected to develop and increase in areal coverage across the region, with the strongest storms likely across northern IL this evening. The movement of these storms may result in numerous heavy rain producing thunderstorms moving over the same areas of northern Illinois tonight. As a result, heavy rainfall amounts, up to 2 to 4 inches are expected with locally higher amounts possible. This should lead to significant rises on area streams and rivers and possible flooding or flash flooding. The highest threat for for flooding or flash flooding will be primarily along and north of I-80. A few isolated strong to possibly severe storms could also occur with these storms tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.

Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Flooding Risk.
Sunday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday through Wednesday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Additional periods of heavy rain producing thunderstorms are likely through the middle of next week.
Flooding potential along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica and Fox Rivers will continue at least through Saturday.
