This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph. Significant Flooding Risk. Limited Fog Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Scattered thunderstorms are likely south of Interstate 80 through early evening. A few of these may be severe with gusty winds the primary threat.
Thunderstorms will spread northward across north central Illinois and parts of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana this evening. Heavy rain is likely across north central Illinois which may lead to flash flooding. There is also a small chance of some gusty winds with storms.
River levels will remain in flood along some northern Illinois rivers, especially the Pecatonica and Rock.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday.
Monday…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday…
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Limited Flooding Risk.
Wednesday…
Limited Flooding Risk. Significant Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
There is potential for more heavy rain late Tuesday night into Wednesday across the area. This could result in additional flooding concerns.
River levels will remain in flood along some northern Illinois rivers, especially the Pecatonica and Rock.
