This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited damaging wind risk...up to 50 mph. Limited Flooding Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Isolated thunderstorms will continue through early evening with a few stronger storms possible. More showers and storms are expected to move into north central Illinois overnight. Some of these will likely have heavy rain and a few may produce strong winds.
River levels will remain in flood along some northern Illinois rivers, especially the Pecatonica and Rock.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.
Wednesday…
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk. Elevated Flooding Risk.
Thursday Night and Friday Night…
Elevated Frost Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Showers and some thunderstorms will move across the area during the day Wednesday. Some of these storms could produce strong wind gusts. In addition, the threat for heavy rainfall will continue and this could result in additional flooding concerns.
River levels will remain in flood along some northern Illinois rivers, especially the Pecatonica and Rock.
