This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Significant Thunderstorm Risk.  Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Thunderstorms are ongoing along a cold front pushing southeast through the far southeastern portions of the Outlook Area. Some of these thunderstorms will have the potential to produce locally heavy rainfall and wind gusts up to 40 mph. There will be a continued small chance for thunderstorms until around midnight for the far southern portions of the Outlook Area.

Flooding will continue along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, Fox and Des Plaines Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday.

Sunday and Monday…

Limited Flooding Risk.  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Additional periods of showers and thunderstorms are possible through mid-week.

Flooding potential along portions of the Rock, Pecatonica, Fox and Des Plaines Rivers will continue for the next several days.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east northeast at 40 mph.
