Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

DISCUSSION...
Strong southeast winds today may gust as high as 40 mph at times
this afternoon. Strongest winds will likely occur across the
Illinois portion of the outlook area, with slightly lower wind
speeds farther east into Indiana.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across parts of
northeast Iowa and western Wisconsin by early this evening. These
storms will likely weaken as they move east tonight, though a few
isolated to scattered thunderstorms may make it into parts of
northern Illinois west and north of Chicago late. Severe weather
is not expected.

DISCUSSION:
Near record high temperatures, with heat indices into the 90s,
are forecast Tuesday through Thursday.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across southern
Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon, and these may spread south into
northern Illinois Tuesday evening. A few of these storms could be
severe across Wisconsin and adjoining portions of far northern
Illinois, with large hail and damaging winds the primary threats.
The threat of severe weather should decrease overnight.
