This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Unseasonably warm and humid weather will continue this afternoon,
especially for inland locations. Afternoon highs will reach 89 to
93 with peak heat index values of 95 to 101. Warmest conditions
are expected to be across north central Illinois, with onshore
winds off of Lake Michigan brining cooler temperatures this
afternoon across parts of the Chicago metro area and far northwest
Indiana.

There is a chance, albeit low, of a stray thunderstorm across
mainly north central and far northern Illinois this afternoon. If
one were to develop, it could produce brief gusty winds and some
hail.

Friday Night...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk west of I-39.
Limited Flooding Risk mainly west of I-39.
Saturday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
