This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to ping pong ball size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 70 mph.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across parts of
southern Wisconsin late this afternoon, and move south into the
area this evening. Some of these storms may be severe, especially
along and north of the Interstate 88 corridor across far northern
Illinois. Damaging winds and large hail the main threats.
Scattered thunderstorms may push farther south across both
northern Illinois and northwest Indiana overnight, though the
severe weather threat should diminish with southward extent.

Near record high temperatures, with heat indices into the 90s,
are expected across much of the area this afternoon.

Friday and Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Near record high temperatures, with heat indices into the 90s,
are forecast Tuesday through Thursday.
