This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Afternoon peak heat index values between 95 and 100 degrees are on
track for areas west of Chicago. Lower humidity farther east into
the state line region and into northwest Indiana will result in
heat index values in the mid to upper 80s there.

There is a slight chance of an isolated decaying thunderstorm
working into far northwest Illinois after midnight tonight. No
severe weather is expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday and Saturday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Friday afternoon and night.
There is a small chance that a few thunderstorms could be strong
to severe mainly across northern Illinois during the late
afternoon and early evening hours. Damaging wind and large hail
would be the main severe weather threats, along with the potential
for locally heavy downpours. The severe weather threat will
diminish by late Friday evening.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Variable direction, less than 10 mph.
