Subject: Change to flood impact categories on the Fox River at
Montgomery, Illinois
Effective April 15, 2020, flood impact categories for the Fox River
at Montgomery, Illinois, (NWS identifier MNGI2) will change. Flood
impact categories are set for this gauge based upon the river reach
extending from approximately Red Gate Road in St. Charles downstream
to Millington. These changes were coordinated with representatives
from the Kane County Office of Emergency Management, the Kendall
County Emergency Management Agency, the Fox Waterway Agency, the
village of Montgomery, the city of Aurora, the city of St. Charles,
the city of Batavia, and the village of Oswego.
Action stage will change from 12.5 feet to 13.0 feet. Minor flood
stage will change from 13.0 feet to 13.5 feet. Moderate flood stage
will change from 14.0 feet to 15.0 feet. Major flood stage will
change from 15.0 feet to 16.0 feet. River forecasts will be issued
when this location has reached, or is expected to reach, action
stage.

NOAA/NWS Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) web page
at water.weather.gov.
