Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80 this afternoon.

DISCUSSION...

There is a chance for scattered non-severe thunderstorms south of
I-80 this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk at night.
Sunday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A strong weather system will move across the Midwest Friday
through Sunday. Thunderstorms are possible south of I-80 on
Friday afternoon and night, and any showers and storms in this
area will be capable of heavy rainfall during that time. On
Saturday, scattered thunderstorms are likely. A few of these
become severe during the afternoon and evening.

Strong winds are then likely Saturday night and Sunday. Gusts
to 40 mph are likely with gusts to 50 mph possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 50 to 60 mph.
