…FREEZING RAIN LIKELY MONDAY MORNING…
A period of freezing rain may produce slippery and hazardous travel conditions across portions of northern Illinois and northwest Indiana Monday morning. Freezing rain is expected to develop during the pre-dawn hours, and persist into the morning before temperatures slowly warm above freezing. Up to a tenth of an inch of ice may accumulate on elevated surfaces, and glazing is possible on roadways. Lightly traveled or untreated roads may become slick, as well as parking lots and sidewalks. Freezing rain will likely impact the Monday morning commute. If planning travel across the area Monday morning, be alert for slippery conditions and plan extra time to reach your destination. </pre>
