This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Ice accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION…

A mix of light snow, light rain and light freezing rain is expected to develop across the area after midnight tonight especially for areas along and south of Interstate 80. Precipitation will change to all light rain Tuesday morning before ending. While precipitation will be very light, there is a potential for some light glazing especially on untreated roads and elevated surfaces such as bridge decks.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

Thursday…

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.  Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

Friday…

Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A strong storm system will bring gusty winds and the potential for locally heavy rainfall to parts of the area from Wednesday night into early Friday.
