This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected…

Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION…

Light snow is expected to develop late this afternoon and continue this evening. Minor accumulations of less than an inch are possible, mainly north of Interstate 80. Snow showers may continue into Saturday morning across northwest Indiana, especially near the lake.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Saturday through Thursday.

Sunday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

Monday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.  Limited Snow Risk.

Tuesday and Wednesday…

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Light freezing rain is possible late Sunday night into Monday morning. Temperatures are expected to gradually warm through Monday morning, allowing precipitation to change to rain. Colder air will move into the area Monday night, allowing lingering precipitation to change to light snow.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
