This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected…
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated: Limited damaging wind risk...locally over 50 mph. Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk. Elevated Fog Risk late tonight. Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
DISCUSSION…
Strong easterly winds will develop this morning and continue this afternoon. Gusts to 40 mph will be possible, especially near Lake Michigan where the strong winds will cause large waves and some minor lakeshore flooding along the Illinois Lake Michigan shore.
In addition, isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon into early this evening, mainly south of I-80. One or two of these storms could produce gusty winds, especially south of Highway 24.

Monday…
Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk
