This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central Illinois…Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

DISCUSSION…

A fast moving weather system will bring wintry precipitation into portions of northern Illinois late tonight, especially north central Illinois. Light freezing rain is possible at precipitation onset, likely followed by the precipitation changing over to snow.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday…

Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The quick hitting wintry precipitation on Wednesday morning will move across areas mainly north of I-80 during the early to mid morning hours, exiting by the late morning. A brief period of freezing rain is possible at onset for parts of northeast Illinois and extreme northwest Indiana, likely followed by the precipitation changing over to snow.
