THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Occasional showers are expected areawide through tonight. Rainfall
totals will be 1 to 1.5 inches and will likely lead to rises on
local rivers. Embedded thunderstorms are possible mainly along
and south of Interstate 80 this afternoon and evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Wednesday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Elevated Frost Risk.
Friday...
Elevated Frost Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A second storm system will bring more rain to the region
Wednesday through Thursday. Depending on the exact track and
strength of this system significant rainfall amounts are possible,
which could result in flooding of low lying areas and renewed
rises along rivers and streams. There is a chance that some of the
rain may fall as snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and
the snow could accumulate.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving from southwest to northeast at 30 to 40 MPH.
