THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A few thunderstorms are possible tonight, mainly after midnight,
with the best chance across north central Illinois. Severe weather
is not expected through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Elevated Flooding Risk.
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

A more active pattern is setting up for the latter half of the
week, with periods of thunderstorms appearing likely both
Wednesday and then again over the weekend. Strong to severe
thunderstorms are a concern Wednesday afternoon through the
evening area wide, but with a higher threat across east central
Illinois and northwest Indiana. Afternoon or early evening storms
could pose a hail threat, but the main concern will be damaging
winds along with heavy rain and possible flooding. Thunderstorms
and heavy rainfall will be possible again during the weekend. The
heavy rain may lead to additional river flooding.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
