THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Hail Risk...up to quater size.
Limited Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are likely today and tonight but widespread severe
weather is not anticipated. An isolated storm may be able to
produce hail and strong winds, mainly toward northwest Illinois.

In addition...portions of the Des Plaines and Fox rivers will
remain near bankfull.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

There is a chance of thunderstorms early Thursday morning, with
the threat of storms lingering into the afternoon over northwest
Indiana.

In addition...some minor flooding is expected to continue along
portions of the Des Plains and Fox rivers.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed this afternoon and evening, mainly in
northwest portions of the forecast area.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving northeast at 40-45 mph.
