THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Fire Weather Risk through the evening.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk overnight.

DISCUSSION:

Gusty southerly winds and low relative humidities will result
in an above average fire danger through the evening.

There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight, especially north of
I-80.

In addition...flooding is expected along portions of several
rivers in the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk in the afternoon and evening.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk through the predawn hours.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are likely at times Wednesday into Wednesday night,
especially in western portions of the forecast area and north of
I-80. There is some threat that some of the storms could become
severe. Locally heavy rainfall is possible and could result in
renewed rises on area rivers, some of which are likely to remain
in flood this week.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
