THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.
DISCUSSION:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across
the area later this morning into the mid afternoon. There is a
slight chance that one or two of these storms could produce hail
up to the size of quarters.
A strong front is likely to stall out from near Pontiac IL to
Fowler Indiana late this afternoon. There is a chance that a few
storms could develop along this front. If storms occur, which is
far from a given, then there would be a slight chance that they
could pose a risk of large hail and damaging winds.
Finally, there is a chance of thunderstorms again late this
evening north of I-80. There is a slight chance that these storms
could pose a risk for hail, possibly up to quarter size.
In addition...some minor flooding is expected along portions of a
few area rivers.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
There is a chance of thunderstorms early Thursday morning, with
the threat of storms lingering into the afternoon over northwest
Indiana.
In addition...some minor flooding is expected to continue along
portions of a few area rivers.

Spotters may be needed this afternoon.
