THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Limited Thunderstorm Risk Tonight.
Limited Fire Weather Risk This afternoon.
DISCUSSION:
Gusty southerly winds and low relative humidities will result
in an above average fire danger this afternoon.
There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight, especially north of
I-80.
In addition...flooding is expected along portions of several
rivers in the area.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Wednesday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk Wednesday afternoon and evening.
DISCUSSION:
Thunderstorms are likely at times Wednesday into Wednesday night,
especially north of I-80. There is some threat that some of the
storms could become severe. Locally heavy rainfall is possible and
could result in renewed rises on area rivers, some of which are
likely to remain in flood this week.
