THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated Hail Risk...up to quarter size.
Elevated Thunderstorm Wind Damage Risk...up to 60 MPH.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop along and east of
an Ottawa to Chicago line late this morning through mid
afternoon. It's possible that a couple of the storms could become
severe with large hail and strong winds, with the highest threat
of these stronger storms likely to be southeast of the Kankakee
river in east central Illinois and northwest Indiana. All storms
should move out of the outlook area by mid afternoon.

In addition...portions of the Des Plaines and Fox rivers will
remain near bankfull.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Portions of the Des Plaines and Fox rivers will remain near
bankfull.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters will likely be needed late morning through mid afternoon,
mainly over northwest Indiana.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving east northeast at around 45 mph.
