...The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Flood
Advisory for the Fox River...

Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater affecting Kane and McHenry Counties

.Rainfall amounts of one to locally upwards of two inches in the past
24 hours on the northern Fox River Basin will result in rises along
portions of the river.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...If you encounter a flooded roadway...turn around and
find an alternate route.

The Fox River at Algonquin Tailwater.
* until Saturday afternoon.
* At 930 AM Sunday the stage was 8.9 feet.
* Action stage is 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Recent activity...Flood forecasts for Algonquin were moved to this
location on July 5 2011. Gage zero datum is different from the old
gage location. Flood and action stages have changed.
* Forecast...The river will rise to near 9.4 feet by Monday
afternoon.
