...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and brief periods of mixed precipitation.
Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches, with highest north,
and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as
35 mph, leading to blowing snow in exposed locations.
* WHERE...Winnebago, Boone, McHenry and Ogle Counties.
* WHEN...Until 9 PM CST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions will impact the afternoon commute.
