Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Elevated Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Southeast winds will continue to increase this afternoon, with
gusts of 35 to 40 mph possible by early evening. Stronger winds
with gusts of 45 to 50 mph are likely later tonight areawide
where a wind advisory goes into effect at midnight for areas
south of I-80 and at 3 AM for areas north of I-80 through noon
Wednesday.

DISCUSSION:

Another storm system is expected to bring a wintry mix of snow
and sleet to parts of northern Illinois late Wednesday night into
Thursday morning, before changing over to mainly snow before
ending Thursday evening. Significant snow accumulation is possible
across portions of far northern Illinois, though slippery travel
conditions are likely for areas roughly along and northwest of
I-55 on Thursday.
