...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THURSDAY
TO NOON CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected, possibly starting briefly as rain or
freezing rain. Snow could become heavy Thursday afternoon into
the early evening. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Thursday to noon CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions will likely impact the Thursday afternoon and
evening commute. Pockets of blowing snow could continue to
impact the Friday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sharply falling temperatures Thursday
afternoon and evening could cause any lingering wet spots to
freeze quickly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
