This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Snow and Blowing Snow Risk.
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Snow will continue to diminish across most of the area early this
morning. However, this will not be the case near the lake, as lake
effect snow is expected to continue today. The main focus for the
lake effect snow showers is expected to gradually shift from eastern
Cook into parts of northern Lake and Porter County Indiana through
the morning and into the afternoon. Additional snow accumulations
with these snow showers will likely continue to result in some
isolated areas of hazardous travel conditions in this area today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday and Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Friday and Saturday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION...

The cold weather pattern with sub-zero temperatures and wind
chills at times will continue through the first half of the
weekend. Light snow accumulations appear probable on Wednesday
afternoon into the early evening. Additional snow is then possible
into Thursday, with the focus possibly shifting to areas closer
to the lake in northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana. Another
accumulating snow producing system is possible on Sunday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
