This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...
Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A weak disturbance will bring a period of light snow to the
region today. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches will be favored
south of I-80, with lower amounts to the north.
Cold arctic air remains in place. Lowest wind chill values late
tonight into early Thursday morning will range from 5 below to 15
below zero, with a few spots in north central Illinois possibly
approaching 20 below around sunrise.

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Friday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.
Saturday and Sunday...
Significant Excessive Cold Risk.

Elevated Excessive Cold Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Additional rounds of fluffy snow accumulations are possible
through early next week. One of the better chances of light
accumulating snow at this time appears to be Friday night
into Saturday.
The very cold air mass will remain entrenched across the region
into early next week. The coldest conditions are expected to be
late in the weekend into Monday, with widespread overnight low
temperatures well below zero and wind chills of 20 to 30 below
zero quite possible.
