This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Significant Ice Accumulation Risk, especially along and
south of I-88.
Elevated Snow Risk, especially over far northern IL.
Limited Non thunderstorm wind Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Freezing rain will develop northward over the area early this
morning and continue this afternoon. The freezing rain is likely
to occasionally mix with sleet and snow, especially in areas
north of I-80. Significant ice accumulations up to a third of an
inch are expected, highest for areas south of I-80 and west of
I-57. Slightly lighter amounts of one to two tenths of an inch are
likely to the north and east. Gusty northeast winds combined with
the weight of ice accumulations may lead to downed tree limbs and
power lines.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Limited Snow Risk.
