This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Wind chills will dip to zero to five below zero this morning, and
zero to ten below zero tonight and Saturday morning across
interior portions of northern Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday Night...
Limited Snow Risk mainly north of I-80.
Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk north of I-80 in the morning.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk south of I-80 overnight.
Monday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near the lake.
Limited Lakeshore Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Some snow accumulations and minor travel impacts are expected
Saturday evening and into early Sunday morning, mainly for locales
along and north of I-80.

A winter storm with a potentially significant plowable snowfall is
increasingly possible late Sunday night through Monday night,
along with some threat for freezing rain south of I-80. The system
will likely be accompanied by gusty northeast winds, which could
also bring a risk for mainly minor lakeshore flooding.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
