Significant Snow Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for mainly the Illinois shore.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Moderate to heavy snow, especially through early overnight, will
continue to result in hazardous travel. There is a chance of
patchy freezing drizzle overnight.
The gusty easterly winds will continue bringing a threat for
minor lakeshore flooding along the Illinois shore of Lake
Michigan.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Thursday.
Sunday...
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for mainly the Illinois shore.
Limited Snow Risk.
Limited Non Thunderstorm Wind Risk near Lake Michigan.
Limited Ice Accumulation Risk south in the morning.
DISCUSSION:
Impacts from the winter storm will gradually ease on Sunday.
While the primarily travel impacts from snowfall and
residual snow covered roads look to be during the morning hours,
there is likely to be some accumulating light snow in the
afternoon that would continue travel impacts. It is uncertain
how widespread those afternoon impacts will be.
Minor lakeshore flooding will continue through early Sunday
evening along the Illinois shore of Lake Michigan.
