This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Snow Risk Near Lake Michigan
Limited Excessive Cold tonight.

DISCUSSION...

Lake effect snow showers are expected to develop today, focusing
primarily into Cook County this morning, and possibly into Lake
and Porter Counties in Indiana this afternoon. Uncertainty remains
in the lake effect band location, but the potential exists for
snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, locally to 4 inches, which
will result in rapidly changing visibilities and slippery travel.

Overnight wind chills will fall to 0 to 10 degrees below across
northwest and interior portions of northeast Illinois.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thursday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk in the morning.
Saturday...
Elevated Snow Risk mainly overnight.

DISCUSSION:

The potential for several inches of accumulating snow exists
towards Saturday evening and into Sunday.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
