DISCUSSION...
Westerly winds will gust to up to 35 to 40 mph through around
sunset for areas along and north of I-80.
Minimum wind chills will dip to zero to five below zero for
portions of interior northern Illinois in the pre-dawn hours of
Friday.

Limited Excessive Cold Risk in the morning.
Limited Snow Risk at night.

DISCUSSION:
Sub-zero minimum wind chills are forecast in portions of northern
and central Illinois Friday morning and again late Friday night
into Saturday morning.
Light to moderate snow accumulations and travel impacts are
expected Saturday evening into early Sunday, especially along and
north of I-80.
A winter storm with a potentially significant plowable snowfall is
increasingly possible late Sunday night through Monday evening,
along with some threat for freezing rain south of I-80. The system
will likely be accompanied by gusty northeast winds, which could
also bring a risk for some Lake Michigan shoreline flooding.
