This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
An increasingly humid air mass combined with temperatures in the
upper 80s to low 90s will produce afternoon heat index values in
the upper 90s to locally 100 degrees this afternoon.
There are multiple chances of thunderstorms through tonight. The
first will be focused across primarily north-central Illinois late
this afternoon into this evening. The second will be across the
entire area late tonight through daybreak Monday. Strong gusty
winds will be possible with any of these thunderstorms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Monday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk south.
Tuesday through Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk, mainly south.
DISCUSSION:
Warm and humid conditions with heat index values in the mid to
upper 90s are expected again on Monday afternoon primarily south
of I-80. In this area, additional strong to potentially severe
thunderstorms with gusty winds are possible in the afternoon and
evening.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
