This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited Tornado risk.
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
DISCUSSION...
Widely scattered thunderstorms will continue mainly north of I-80.
While widespread severe weather is not expected, an isolated storm
or two may produce quarter size hail and winds strong enough to
down tree limbs.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Friday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday...
High Swim Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
DISCUSSION:
Showers and thunderstorms will be possible throughout much of
Friday. Severe weather will be possible especially between 5 and
10 PM with all severe hazards possible.
Brisk northerly winds will lead to hazardous conditions for Lake
Michigan small crafts and beachgoers Saturday, especially along
the Indiana shoreline.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are not anticipated today, though any reports of hail or
wind damage would be appreciated. Spotter activation may be
needed Friday afternoon and evening.
