This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

High temperatures in or near the mid 90s this afternoon will result
in heat indices of 95 to 100. Continue to practice heat safety.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible, mainly late this afternoon
into tonight in northeast Illinois and far north central Illinois
near the Wisconsin state line. A few of these storms may be severe
with strong winds and hail the main threats if stronger storms can
move into the area. There also could be locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Saturday...
High Swim Risk.
Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Thunderstorms are likely to move west to east across the area late
Friday afternoon into Friday night. There is potential for these
to be severe, especially along and north of I-80 in northern
Illinois.

Saturday will see dangerous swimming conditions on northwest
Indiana beaches and likely some Illinois beaches.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation cannot be ruled out late today into
this evening primarily in far northern and northeast
Illinois, and activation may be needed Friday afternoon and
evening.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east-southeast at 25 mph.
