NORTHWESTERN COOK AND BOONE COUNTIES UNTIL 815 PM CDT...
At 729 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an outflow boundary
located from near Dixon to Genoa to Antioch, moving southeast at 25
mph. Winds may gust as high as 40 mph from the north with this
outflow boundary.
Scattered thunderstorms behind this boundary will continue with the
strongest storms being capable of producing half inch hail and winds
in excess of 40 mph.
Locations impacted include...
Rockford, Elgin, Waukegan, Arlington Heights, Schaumburg, Palatine,
Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Glenview, DeKalb,
Buffalo Grove, Bartlett, Crystal Lake, Streamwood, Hanover Park,
Carpentersville, Wheeling, Northbrook and Elk Grove Village.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
