DISCUSSION:
Dangerous heat with peak heat indices near or over 105 degrees is
likely on Saturday. There is an increasing chance for thunderstorms
to affect at least portions of the area late Saturday night into
Sunday. This could include a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms
capable of causing wind damage. The risk for impactful heat on Sunday
is now more favored to be primarily along and south of US-24.
Periodic thunderstorm chances will then resume next work week,
possibly following a break for much of the area on Monday. Heavy
downpours from thunderstorms early Sunday through mid next week
could cause localized flooding.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
