This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Excessive Heat Risk.
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

The primary concern today continues to be the heat, with afternoon
heat indices peaking in the 100 to 105 degree range

Thunderstorm chances will start to increase this afternoon and
evening before diminishing late tonight. There will be a threat
with initial thunderstorms this evening for isolated damaging
wind gusts before activity weakens. Some of these storms could
also produce locally heavy rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Monday...
Limited Flooding Risk.
Significant Thunderstorm Risk.
Thursday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The concern for more widespread thunderstorms Monday would be
across the southeast half of the outlook area with a continued
threat for locally heavy rainfall.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east around 10 to 15 mph.
