This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Significant Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Elevated damaging wind risk...up to 70 mph.
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.


DISCUSSION...

Expect hot and humid conditions to persist inland of Lake
Michigan this afternoon.

Widely scattered thunderstorms will continue to develop across the
area this afternoon. The severe risk with these storms will be
low, though some locally gusty winds will be possible.
Thunderstorm coverage, and the potential for severe storms, will
increase late this afternoon and into the evening. The primary
severe risk with these storms into this evening will be localized
damaging wind gusts. Very heavy rainfall is also expected to
accompany these storms, and this could result in some flash
flooding.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday through Sunday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION:

The return of heat, potentially more impacting, is expected
by the middle of next week and potentially extending through
the latter part of it. Organized thunderstorms may be possible in
the mid week period.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed after 3 p.m. this afternoon.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at 15 to 25 mph.
