THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS WHICH MAY PRODUCE:
HEAVY RAINFALL.
ISOLATED FLASH FLOODING.
GUSTY WINDS TO 45 MPH.
AND SMALL HAIL.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

A STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHES FROM SOUTHEAST IOWA THROUGH
ILLINOIS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. SCATTERED STORMS WILL FORM
ALONG THIS BOUNDARY THIS AFTERNOON. ADDITIONAL ISOLATED STORMS
ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE WARNING AREA. A LINE OF STORMS
CURRENTLY OVER EASTERN IOWA WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE WARNING
AREA THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT.

DISCUSSION:

A STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHES FROM EASTERN IOWA...SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 IN ILLINOIS AND THEN THROUGH CENTRAL INDIANA.
SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL FORM ALONG THE FRONT THIS AFTERNOON AND
THE UNSTABLE CONDITIONS ACROSS THE WARNING AREA WILL LEAD TO
ADDITIONAL ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT ACROSS THE WARNING
AREA. IN ADDITION...A LINE OF SHOWERS AND STORMS IS OVER EASTERN
IOWA AND IT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE WARNING AREA THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT. WIND SHEAR IS VERY WEAK SO ORGANIZED STORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED. WITH THE MOIST ENVIRONMENT...SLOW MOVING STORMS
CAPABLE OF HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE EXPECTED. THESE STORMS COULD LEAD
TO ADDITIONAL FLOODING. THE STRONGEST STORMS MAY PRODUCE GUSTY
WINDS AND OR SMALL HAIL...BUT IN GENERAL SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT
EXPECTED. ONCE AGAIN THE BIGGEST CONCERN WITH THE STORMS THROUGH
TONIGHT IS HEAVY RAINFALL AND POSSIBLE FLASH FLOODING. HIGH
WATER OR MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON THE EAST BRANCH OF THE
DU PAGE RIVER NEAR BOLINGBROOK.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE AT TIMES.

HIGH WATER OR MINOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE ON THE EAST BRANCH OF
THE DU PAGE RIVER NEAR BOLINGBROOK.
