THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS...
NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

.DAY ONE...OVERNIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS...SOME MAY PRODUCE:
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS.
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH.
AND VERY HEAVY RAIN AND LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME SEVERE...ARE LIKELY
OVERNIGHT...ESPECIALLY NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 WITH THE HIGHEST
CHANCES NEAR THE WISCONSIN BORDER.

DISCUSSION:

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY OVERNIGHT NEAR AND NORTH OF A
WARM FRONT THAT IS STALLED OUT OVER NORTHERN ILLINOIS FROM NEAR
CHICAGO WEST TO NEAR DUBUQUE. THE PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE LARGE
HAIL...POSSIBLY UP TO GOLF BALL SIZED. HOWEVER...THERE IS A
CHANCE STORMS COULD CONGEAL INTO A LARGER CLUSTER...IN WHICH CASE
THE THREAT FOR LOCALLY DAMAGING AND HEAVY RAINFALL WHICH COULD
CAUSE FLASH FLOODING WOULD INCREASE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE PROBABLE AT TIMES WEDNESDAY
THROUGH MONDAY. SOME SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL LIKELY BE NEEDED OVERNIGHT NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 80.
