NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED:

THUNDERSTORMS WHICH MAY PRODUCE:
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH
HAIL TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS AND POSSIBLE FLOODING
ISOLATED TORNADOES

AREAS AFFECTED AND TIMING:

SCATTERED STORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON
AND MORE FAVORED TONIGHT WHEN THERE WILL LIKELY TO BE AN
INCREASE IN COVERAGE. HOWEVER...EXACT LOCATION OF STORMS WITHIN
THE REGION IS CHALLENGING TO PREDICT IN THIS WEATHER PATTERN.

DISCUSSION:

A FRONTAL BOUNDARY ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT
WILL BE A FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT LATE THIS AFTERNOON
AND TONIGHT WITH SEVERAL ORGANIZED CLUSTERS OF STORMS POSSIBLE
AFTER DARK. THESE WILL BE THE MOST FAVORED TO BECOME SEVERE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO BE PROBABLE AT TIMES WEDNESDAY
THROUGH SUNDAY. SOME SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE...INCLUDING
ON WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
