This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 65 mph.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk...mainly south of I-80.
High Swim Risk at Lake Michigan beaches.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are possible this
afternoon south of I-80 and especially near and south of US-24.
Any of these thunderstorms will have the potential to produce
severe wind gusts and large hail. Locally heavy rain is also
possible with these thunderstorms.

Heat index values will reach around 100 degrees this afternoon
mainly south of Interstate 80.

Strong northeasterly winds will produce high waves and dangerous
swimming conditions through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
High Swim Risk at Lake Michigan beaches.
Saturday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters may be needed through this afternoon, mainly near and
south of US-24.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the south southeast at 35 to 45 mph.
