This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Thunderstorm Risk south of I-80 into early afternoon.
Limited Fog Risk this morning mainly north central Illinois.
High Swim Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Areas of fog will affect portions of northern Illinois early this
morning, especially along the I-88 corridor west of DeKalb. A
cold front will push south across the area later this morning,
which will clear out any lingering fog. A few isolated to
scattered thunderstorms are possible along the front late this
morning into early this afternoon south of I-80. Gusty north winds
behind the cold front will also generate high waves and strong
currents on Lake Michigan, which will make for dangerous swimming
conditions at Illinois and Indiana beaches.

Sunday...
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

High wave action and strong currents will cause dangerous
swimming conditions at Lake Michigan beaches through Friday.
Temperatures will warm into the lower 90s in spots Sunday and
Monday, with heat index values in the mid 90s both afternoons.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the southeast at 25 mph.
