This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Snow Risk Tonight.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk Tonight.
DISCUSSION...
Rain transitioning to snow is likely for some of the area tonight.
Minor snow accumulation under one inch is possible, especially for
far northern and northeast Illinois.
Quickly increasing northerly winds this evening will result in
building waves. The combination of this with near record lake levels
will result in some immediate lakeshore flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Thursday...
Limited Snow Risk in far northwest Indiana.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Monday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
DISCUSSION:
The lakeshore flooding threat will continue into Thursday. Lake
effect snow showers with minor accumulation are also likely into far
northwest Indiana on Thursday.
Early next week may see near record cold for mid-November on Veteran's
Day.
