This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Elevated Fog Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A few isolated thunderstorms, embedded within waves of light to
moderate rain, will be possible this evening. Severe weather is
not expected. Strong and gusty east-southeast winds will build
waves and likely cause lakeshore flooding for the Illinois shore
of Lake Michigan, mainly from downtown Chicago and northward.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Sunday...
Limited Snow Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for the Indiana shore of Lake
Michigan.
Monday...
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk for the Indiana shore of Lake
Michigan.
DISCUSSION:
A rain snow mix or patches of all snow are likely Sunday morning,
but will change over to all rain by around noon. Some minor
slushy accumulation is possible.
Lake Effect snow is possible for northwestern Indiana Sunday
evening. Up to an inch of lake effect snow accumulation is
possible.
Strong northerly winds Sunday night and into Monday will result
in building wave action and likely cause additional lakeshore
flooding for the northwest Indiana shore of Lake Michigan and,
possibly, the southern portions of the Illinois shore.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:
Moving toward the northeast at 45 to 50 mph.
