This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited Snow Risk tonight.
Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk.
DISCUSSION...
A mix of rain and snow is expected to develop this evening
across northern Illinois, and change to all snow overnight.
Accumulation is likely, especially along and north of the
Interstate 80 corridor, with 1 to 3 inches possible by
Monday morning. Highest amounts are likely along and north
of I-88, and near Lake Michigan across northern Illinois.
North-northeast winds will increase overnight, producing
building waves on Lake Michigan. These waves will likely
cause minor lakeshore flooding along the Illinois shore.

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Elevated Snow Risk.
Elevated Lakeshore Flood Risk.
Tuesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.

DISCUSSION:
Accumulating snow will continue across the area Monday,
before tapering off from northwest to southeast through
the afternoon. Total amounts in the 3 to 5 inch range
are possible. Lake effect snow will persist in northwest
Indiana, particularly in Porter county, into Tuesday.
Locally higher accumulations are possible in lake effect
areas.
Near record cold for mid-November is expected Monday night
through early Wednesday.
North winds gusting to 35 mph will continue to cause large
waves on Lake Michigan, which will likely cause lakeshore
flooding and beach erosion along the Illinois and Indiana
shores Monday and Tuesday.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
