This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Lakeshore Flood Risk.

DISCUSSION...

A record cold airmass will continue through tonight with
temperatures some 25 degrees below average.

Winds and waves along the Indiana shore of Lake Michigan will
continue to subside tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Limited Excessive Cold Risk.
Limited Snow Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Temperatures will moderate only slowly and gradually through the
weekend into early next week.

A period of light snow is expected Wednesday afternoon and
Wednesday night. Accumulations up to an inch are possible across
far northern Illinois especially along the Wisconsin border.
Little to no accumulation is expected from along the I-88 corridor
and south.

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
