NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA.
.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.
THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING AND EARLY
OVERNIGHT SOUTH OF THE ILLINOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS. THERE IS A
CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS AROUND DAYBREAK MAINLY WEST OF A WATSEKA
TO ROCKFORD LINE.
MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUES ON THE IROQUOIS RIVER IN
NORTHWEST INDIANA...MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUES ON THE ILLINOIS
RIVER NEAR LA SALLE...AND MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUES ON
PORTIONS OF THE KANKAKEE RIVER.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.
AN UNSEASONABLY STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE GREAT
LAKES REGION ON MONDAY WITH A THREAT FOR FAIRLY WIDESPREAD SEVERE
WEATHER. THE POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR ALL SEVERE HAZARDS...INCLUDING
VERY LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS..AND A FEW TORNADOES. A MOIST
AIRMASS WILL ALSO BE IN PLACE...BRINGING A THREAT FOR TORRENTIAL
DOWNPOURS AND FLASH FLOODING. FINALLY...SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL
LIKELY GUST TO 40 MPH AND POSSIBLY UP TO 45 MPH AT TIMES DURING
THE AFTERNOON.
PERIODIC THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ACROSS THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA
TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY.
PORTIONS OF THE ILLINOIS...IROQUOIS AND KANKAKEE RIVERS WILL
REMAIN IN MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOOD STAGE.
